About GR8 Designs

GR8 Designs is a locally owned and operated graphic and website design studio in Courtice, Ontario [Clarington / Durham Region] by Owner / Graphic Designer Peter MacKellar.

Our goal at GR8 Designs is to develop your projects with an image and budget in mind that works for you.

We have been in business for over seven years now and our best form of advertising has been word of mouth. Our friends have become clients and our clients have become friends.

As well as serving the Clarington / Durham Region and immediate area, we have also worked on projects as far as Western Canada, Australia and various parts of the U.S.

Why the Hockey Stick?

Before starting GR8 Designs, Peter enjoyed a diverse career as a Pro Hockey Player, Senior Graphic Designer for Premier Hockey Magazine and working at various large Sign Companies designing signage and artwork for companies like Harley Davidson, Honda, A&W and Coleman. Growing up he was a gifted artist who has transferred this over to the computer design aspect.

He is a graduate of the University of New Brunswick '00 and also attended Georgian College and St. Clair College while playing Hockey at various levels.

Peter has won a Memorial Cup, a CIAU Championship and recently has been to the Allan Cup Finals two years in a row with the Whitby Dunlops where he has served as Captain for 4 straight years and counting. He is also a Part-Time Firefighter for Clarington.
